Paypal setup for Desktop Sales Forecasting

Those instructions apply both to Lokad Desktop Sales Forecasting and Lokad Excel Sales Forecasting.

The connection string to be used is username;password;signature where username, password and signature is a three-way authentication method to access your Paypal account.

To obtain your API credentials from PayPal:
  1. Log in to your Premier or Business account at Paypal.
  2. Click the Profile tab.
  3. Click the API Access link under the Account Information header.
  4. Click the link that says Request API Credentials.
  5. Select API Signature.

Privacy disclaimer: at no point, those access codes get transmitted to Lokad. The application makes read-only operations to retrieve the sales data from your Paypal account. This data gets anonymized/obfuscated before being uploaded to Lokad. The whole process respects the privacy of your customers. No personal customer information is send to Lokad.
