Importing QuickBook data in LSSC
Lokad Safety Stock Calculator (LSSC) can import inventory and sales data from QuickBooks. This guide explains the steps required to achieve the data import.
Requirements
LSSC is using an optional QuickBooks component called
QuickBooks SDK 6.0 (or later versions). This component is used by LSSC to communicate with QuickBooks.
First, you have to make sure that this component is properly installed. You can check in
Windows » Control Panel » Add or remove programs if this component is properly listed. If the component is not listed, then you need to install it.
Authorize the first data import
QuickBooks puts security restrictions on 3
rd party applications that try to get access to your data. That's why we need to
authorize LSSC to access to your QuickBooks data.
First open QuickBooks, then open LSSC. Proceed with the LSSC report wizard. When you reach the adapter type step, select
QuickBooks among the application list offered by LSSC. Finish and close the wizard. Now you can click
Refresh in LSSC.
On the QuickBooks side, you should be prompted by a dialog box titled
QuickBooks - Application with No Certificate. Check
Yes, always; allow access even if QuickBooks is not running. Confirm your choice in the next dialog box.
Tip: You can verify your QuickBooks settings by going in
Edit » Preferences » Company Preferences and checking that LSSC is correctly listed (and possibly revert this change if you wish to).
Now, that LSSC is listed the first data import should work. If not, do not hesitate to contact
support@lokad.com for further help.
