Revenue sharing
Our revenue sharing program primarily targets
qualified partners along with software companies that have integrated our forecasting technology in their product or services.
How it works
Lokad has a
SaaS business model where customers are paying a monthly
subscription plan to retrieve their forecasts.
In addition to the Lokad hosted services, customers are typically using
add-ons for data integration. The origin of the customers can be tracked through those add-ons in a fully automated manner.
Our
Partner Web Application lets our partners track both
affiliate customers and
commissions on customer payments. On a monthly basis (*), partners get paid by Lokad.
(*) The following rules apply to partner payments:
- The account balance must be above 100 EUR or an equivalent amount in other currencies to request a payment.
- No more than 1 payment per month can be requested.
- If no payment are requested during a month, the commissions are reported to the next month (thus, no commission gets lost).
- By default, money is send through PayPal. The email address used being the one used to register into the partner account. Wire transfers are also available (for larger amounts).
Commission mechanism
Partner commissions are computed based on two parameters: the
percentage and the
lifetime. This section details those two parameters. Those parameters appear in the dashboard of the
Partner Web Application.
The
commission percentage refers to the fraction of the customer payments that are transferred to the partner. The default percentage is
10%. This value subject to negotiation, see below.
The
commission lifetime refers the period eligible for commissions after the customer registration. The default lifetime is
1 year (idem, value subject to negotiation). Ex: if a customer registers on December 1st 2010, all payments made up to December 1st 2011 are eligible for commissions with the default lifetime.
Negotiation guidelines
Revenue sharing heavily depends on the context, this is why each situation is subject to negotiation. Yet, we are providing the following table as guidelines.

Each one of those items is subject to appreciation. Obviously, if you put a link toward Lokad on a web page that receives 10k daily visitors, it's most probably worth more than what we propose here. On the other hand, if your website gets less than 10 daily visitors, it will probably not qualify as a
quality web referencing.
