Scope of Salescast and complementary apps
Before diving into the long list of Salescast's features, let's clarify the scope of Salescast, i.e. what Salescast is and what it is not.
Not an ERP. Salescast is not intended to be a repository of your data. No data is manually entered within Salescast. Salescast retrieves historical data from your existing IT systems. Salescast doesn't disrupt either your existing IT systems or your processes.
Not BI (Business Intelligence). Salescast delivers practical Excel reports. The report layout is kept tight and clean to ease routine usage, they don't include any graphics or visualizations of any kind. Salescast is not intended for data visualization.
Not Inventory Replenishment Solution. Salescast is not intended for management of suppliers or the purchasing process itself. Forecasts are the key to optimize purchases, but Salescast does not automate the purchase itself.
YET, many good apps already exist to cover those needs. Thanks to cloud computing, hundreds (maybe thousands) of business apps are pushed to the market every month. Making those apps work together has never been easier and cheaper. Thus, your company should focus on choosing the best app for each problem. Spending 12 months deploying a jack-of-all-trades solution is no longer the only way out.
